We benchmarked this case using Ansys Fluent to compare a 24-core engineering laptop against Corvid HPC’s bare-metal platform. Because Fluent is intensively memory-bound, our architecture replaces a laptop's restrictive 2-channel bandwidth and 36MB L3 cache with up to 12 memory channels and 384MB+ of enterprise L3 cache. By keeping simulation data directly on-cache across 64 identical, high-performance cores, we unlock true parallel scaling even for modest 1–2 million cell meshes.
